We are proud to announce that we are working with Confluence Ministries on bringing you an Extreme Community Makeover! This will be a yearlong project comprising a huge coalition of churches, organizations, businesses, and individuals that will transform neighborhoods on the west side of Denver.
The community that will receive the extreme makeover is bordered by Colfax to the north, 6th Ave. to the south, Federal to the east and Sheridan on the west.
Already 120 Campus Crusade students have hit the streets surveying the needs of 656 households. So now its time to make 2008 the year that we all truly begin to transform the city! We are asking you – your church, business, organization, or community group to support this project. And you can do it by adopting ONE block to be transformed in ONE day in an extreme community makeover!
This spring will be the kick off. So there is plenty of time to talk to friends and organize your church, business, organization, or community group.
To adopt a block, please join us for informational meetings on the 13th & 19th of March

Habitat for Humanity Coalition Spring 2008 Build
If you can’t find the resources to adopt a block you still can participate by joining the Habitat for Humanity Coalition.
Currently the coalition is comprised of the Next Level Church, Greenwood Community Church, Scum of the Earth, Arvada Vineyard, Denver Community Church, and Confluence Ministries. The coalition will build a Habitat for Humanity home in west Denver this spring.
To build a home with Habitat for Humanity it takes almost 500 people (10 people Wednesday to Saturday for 12 weeks) participating on the build site and a cost of $85,000 (tithe given to Habitat International to build a home in Zambia).
The coalition exists to work together by partnering with church communities across the socio-economic spectrum in the Denver metro area. Some churches will provide more financial support; other churches will have more people volunteer for the build site; together a variety of churches that want to put their faith into action will serve our city.
